Performance of Cell Force™
Two-layer construction comprising
core and covering materials is shock-resistant
EVA resin covers and protects the core material (super-stretched
polypropylene tape). This design minimizes strength reduction
due to structural damage, even if debris is used as an
embankment filling material. Strength retention of debris=94%
or more.
A high creep reduction coefficient
facilitates cost-effective design
Cell Force has a high creep reduction coefficient(high
tensile strength in the long run)and allows design strength
to be set at a high level, facilitating cost-effective
design. Creep reduction coefficient=0.65.
Obtainment of a civil engineering
review and certificate
Cell Force is fully reliable, as it has obtained a Japanese
civil engineering review and certificate (#0214)from the
Public Works Research Center.
A small percentage of elongation
to reduce deformation of earth structure
The super-stretched poly-propylene tape used as a core
material has a small percentage of elongation and minimizes
deformation in the case of elevated embank- ments. Percentage
of elongation=Approx.6%.
Registration with NETIS
Cell Force is registered with the New Technology Information
System(NETIS)of the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure
and Transport(KK-980052).
Workability of Cell Force™
Cell Force is easy to cut
and lay,as it is soft and resists wrapage caused by winding
Soft EVA resin is used as a covering, which can be cut
with a retractable knife or pinking shears. Cell Force
is a fabric and therefore resists warpage caused by winding,
for reduced labor in laying.
The width of the product
is 2 m, to reduce the quantity per unit in laying work
Cell Force, 2 m in width, reduces the quantity per unit
in laying work.
Lineup of Cell Force™
The standard strength of
the product is 150kN/m at the maximum
Six types from FM40 to FM150 are available. The standard
maximum strength of the product is 150kN/m, enabling cost-effective
design for high embankments.
Work Management of Cell Force™
Markings on the product
facilitate and ensure work management
The bands on Cell Force have part numbers indicating different
types. Cell Force frees users from concerns about using
the wrong type and facilitates and ensures efficient work
management.
Cell Force is a reinforcement material
that incorporates improvements on the features of the
plastic nets previously used for surface treatment on
soft ground and for reinforced embankment work.
