The following variations of switch type Hall effect ICs are available:
- Single pole detection switch
- Continuous excitation type
- Pulse excitation type
- Two pole detection switch
- Single output type
- Dual output type
Unipolar Hall effect IC
Explanation of operation
On/off is switched depending on the intensity of the magnetic field of the S-pole of the magnet. This type is used for position detection.
Operation diagram
- When the S-pole of the magnet approaches the marked side of the Hall effect IC and the magnetic flux density exceeds Bop, Vout changes from H to L.
- When the S-pole of the magnet leaves the marked side of the Hall effect IC and the magnetic flux density decreases below Brp, Vout changes from L to H.
Product list(Continuous excitation type)
The Hall element in the Hall effect IC is always powered. Operating ambient temperature is -30°C to 115°C.

Omnipolar Hall effect IC
-One output for S or N pole
Explanation of operation
On/off is switched depending on the intensity of the magnetic field of the S-pole or N-pole of the magnet.
Operation diagram
- When the S-pole or N pole of the magnet approaches the marked side of the Hall effect IC and the magnetic flux density exceeds BopS or BopN, Vout changes from H to L.
- When the S-pole or N-pole of the magnet leaves the marked side of the Hall effect IC and the magnetic flux density decreases below BrpS or BrpN, Vout changes from L to H.
Product list(Pulse excitation type)
The Hall element in the Hall effect IC is pulse driven for power-saving. Operating ambient temperatur is :-30°C to 85°C.

-Two output for S and N pole
Explanation of operation
On/off is switched depending on the intensity of the magnetic field of the magnet (S-pole or N-pole).
There are two output terminal systems, and each detects only the S-pole or N-pole.
Operation diagram
- When the S-pole of the magnet approaches the marked side of the Hall effect IC and the magnetic flux density exceeds BopS, Vout1 changes from H to L.
- When the S-pole of the magnet leaves the marked side of the Hall effect IC and the magnetic flux density decreases below BrpS, Vout1 changes from L to H.
- When the N-pole of the magnet approaches the marked side of the Hall effect IC and the magnetic flux density exceeds BopN, Vout2 changes from H to L.
- When the N-pole of the magnet leaves the marked side of the Hall effect IC and the magnetic flux density decreases below BrpN, Vout2 changes from L to H.
