- 2-channels LDD (Laser Diode Driver) for cathode common LD switches current at 200MHz.
- Digital APC (Automatic Power Control), shows rapid-response and stable characteristic, maintains optical power of LD (Laser Diode) constant with 2 DACs, IDAC_SW (9bits) with AGC (Automatic Gain Control) sources 100mA [Max.] for switching current and IDAC_BIAS (9bits) sources 50mA [Max.] for bias current.
- A number of AK2552 can be applied to multi-beams LD (more than 4 beams) by cascade connection.
- BIAS_APC function can set bias current of LD automatically by estimating threshold current of LD.
- Optical power at video area can be set by attenuating and shading functions.
- Over current alarm prevents LD from being damaged by excessive over current.
- Via serial interface, adjustment for each LD / LDD and storage of adjusted data in external EEPROM are executed.
- Start-up sequence automatically executes reading out external EEPROM data and set-up operation, adjustment of optical power.
- Single 5.0V +/- 5% operation
