1.25G bps LDD (Laser Diode Driver) and
APC (Automatic Power Control) for burst transmitter, 2.5G bps limiter (limiting
amplifier) for receiver, DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring interface),
RF-amp gain control and APD (Avalanche Photo Diode) bias control are integrated
on 1 silicon chip.
- LDD : Switching BIAS current for burst transmission and MOD current
at 1.25G bps
- APC : Consisting of open loop control (APC_FF) compensate LD temperature
variation and closed loop control (APC_FB) compensate LD aging, and
realizing faster and suitable power control for optical transmission
power.
- Limiter : Converting 2.5G bps continuous TIA (Trans Impedance Amplifier)
signal to differential CML output and asserting LOS (Loss Of Signal).
- DDM : Executing monitoring, alarm and warning for temperature, VDD,
Ibias, RX power, Analog-PD current, RF-amp output power and so on. (SFF-8472
compatible)
- RF-amp gain control : Maintaining RF-amp output constant by open loop
or closed loop control.
- APD bias control : Open loop control for temperature variation of
APD bias voltage
- Single power supply : VDD=3.3V [Typ.]
