Asahi Kasei Corp. will launch an Engineering Plastics Technical Center in Europe on February 6, 2017, as part of a strategic focus to expand its European automotive-related business. Located within the premises of Asahi Kasei Spandex Europe GmbH, in Dormagen, Germany, the new Technical Center will enable Asahi Kasei Europe GmbH to swiftly develop engineering plastic compounds and provide technical solutions that meet the needs of European customers in the automotive industry.

Headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany, Asahi Kasei Europe began operation in April 2016 with a strategic mission of expanding the Asahi Kasei Group’s automotive-related business in Europe. The new Engineering Plastics Technical Center will provide high-level technical support to customers in Europe while developing new product grades and performing applications development that closely match market needs for automotive parts, electrical and electronic equipment, office equipment, and industrial products.

By supplying superior products and technical service, the new Technical Center will further enhance Asahi Kasei Europe’s ability to support the development of the European automotive industry and contribute to the local community.
