 |
One-stage - FS coalescer
The water/oil dispersion is fed under pressure into the FS coalescer bore. As the dispersion passes through the coalescer element, the fine droplets merge into larger drops which rapidly collect outside the coalescer in a layer separate from the carrier liquid. The separated oil and water leave the vessel via separate outlets, from their respective layers.
The FS coalescer also removes solid particles from the dispersion, by rejection and entrapment. |
 |
Two-stage - FS coalescer and FS separator
The FS exclusion-effect separator functions in tandem with the FS coalescer, for high-volume flow in a compact unit.
Large and intermediate-size water drops
from the coalescer are excluded from entry to the separator as they descend, collect in the water layer, and exit via the water outlet. Water-free oil passes to the separator cartridge bore, and from there to the oil outlet. |

Particle filtration - microfilter
The target liquid is fed into the filtration vessel under pressure, passes through the microfilter cartridge element to its core, and from there to the vessel outlet.
Large particles are excluded from entry into the element and settle to the vessel bottom. Fine particles entering the element are entrapped in its microfilament network.
The cartridge must be replaced periodically, when the pressure differential across the element rises to a limiting value due to the cumulative particle entrapment. |
