Bemberg is derived from linter,the short fiber that grows near the seeds of the cotton boll. It is the pure, regenerated cellulose fiber product of an annual plant. Bemberg is approved by Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

Clean burning, low emission incineration

As a pure, regenerated cellulose fiber derived from the cotton plant, Bemberg permits disposal by incineration with significantly less formation of harmful gases than other fibers.

Natural biodegradability in landfill disposal

As a fiber originating in the cotton plant, Bemberg tends to decompose into its natural components in the soil, under disposal in landfills and other waste burial sites. As shown in this comparison, Bemberg loses more than half of its original weight in two months, when left in soil with a moisture content of 80% at 35℃
