Bemberg™ Cupro
The ecoefficient liner material
Cupro is made from the linter of the cotton boll, which is annually renewable and thus avoids both forest and petroleum depletion, and it degrades in soil under bacterial action, thus returning to its natural state after disposal.
Biodegradability
As shown below, Bemberg™ cupro loses more than half its original weight after 8 weeks in soil containing leaf compost at 35℃, 80% RH.
Bemberg™ is a registered trademark of Asahi Kasei Fibers Corporation for its cupro (cuprammonium rayon) filaments, fiber, and fabrics.
