| Asahi Kasei Chemicals has set up
packaging foam fabrication and molding facilities in Thailand and
China. |
The move is fueled by the growth in the high performance foam markets
in China and Southeast Asia as the expansion of Japanese manufacturing
presence in these areas continues to rise rapidly.
The new plants in Chonburi (Thailand) and Shanghai (China) commenced commercial
operation in May and October of this year respectively.
The new sales and manufacturing set-ups will bring us another step closer
to our customers, and will further enable us to enhance value-added service
to our end-users. This is in line with our overall overseas expansion strategy
to expand from the current market leader position in Japan to become the
number one market player in Asia in the high performance foam market. |
