To support the effort to provide emergency medical care in areas damaged by the Sichuan Earthquake, Asahi Kasei Kuraray Medical has donated continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) sets and artificial kidneys (dialyzers), loaned CRRT equipment, and made a charitable monetary contribution.

Outline of the support provided

• Donation of 3,500 CRRT sets, including blood tubes, and 1,200 dialyzers
  (total value ≈¥100 million)
• Gratis loan of 20 CRRT systems for critical care in damaged areas
• Contribution through Chinese subsidiary Asahi Kasei Medical (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. of RMB10,000 to the Hangzhou Chapter of the Red Cross Society of China
