Notes
Notes on Saran™ TC (Thermal Color Change Fiber)
1.Colorfastness to Light
Please avoid continual use in direct sunlight as colorfastness to light is low in some colors.
2.Thermal Resistance
The softening point of Saran™ fibers is from 145 - 165℃ so they are not very heat-resistant.
When applying heat-set processing, settings at 120℃ or below, or at 110℃ if possible are recommended.
3.Use in Indicating Temperature Change
In areas with temperature change, there is a 10℃ range between the beginning and the ending of discoloration. There is also a 2 to 3℃ difference in discoloration temperatures depending on the colors, even in same-temperature types. Please do not use it as a precise temperature sensor.
4.Color staining
Saran™ fibers can be stained with colorants such as disperse dyes and reactive dyes.
Fastness may be affected when dyed.
5.Production on order
Minimum order quantity:200kg/color.type, Production lead tme:2.5months
Notes on Saran™ LS (Glow in the Dark Fiber)
1.Thermal Resistance
The same as with Saran™ TC.
2.Dyeing with Colorants
Staining and the loss of luminescence may occur when dying with colorants such as disperse dyes and reactive dyes along with other materials in the same tub.
3.Light Resistance
Saran™ LS fiber’s color may become brownish when used outdoors for long periods of time.
4.Alkaline Resistance
Luminescence may decrease when coming into contact with alkaline solutions.
(However, it has been confirmed that it can still maintain its luminescence after being washed thirty times with weakly alkaline household detergents.)
