Restart of the naphtha cracker in Mizushima (Kurashiki, Okayama) of Asahi Kasei Mitsubishi Chemical Ethylene Corp. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroaki Numata), a joint venture between Asahi Kasei Corp. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hideki Kobori) and Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Masayuki Waga), which was suspended on January 14, 2020, has been delayed from the previously announced schedule of January 24, 2020, due to a malfunction in its steam system for irregular operation, and the facility is now scheduled to restart on January 28, 2020.
