A Lecture on Industry-Academia Collaboration at Donghua University, China
On October 30, 2024, a lecture introducing Bemberg™ was held at Donghua University, China.
During the lecture, we provided a comprehensive introduction of Bemberg™ , covering topics such as its procurement of raw material, closed-loop manufacturing processes, superior performance, and initiatives to reduce environmental burden. Through various application examples, the students gained a deeper understanding of Bemberg™. The characteristics of Bemberg™, including its raw material, cotton linter which is by-product obtained from manufacturing process of cottonseed oil, excellent moisture absorption and release properties, gentleness on the skin, and biodegradability, were well-received as an environmentally conscious material.
Participants were also given the opportunity to experience the softness and comfort of the material firsthand. We answered a variety of insightful questions from the students, reflecting their strong interest in materrials for sustainable fashion with the aim to reduce environmental burden.This lecture not only broadened their expertise but also deepened their understanding of environmentaly conscious materials. We hope it inspires participants to integrate sustainable concepts into their future designs, bringing new energy to the fashion industry.
