Bemliese™ for clean room wipes
Industrial and laboratory environments and their stringent cleanliness and purity standards demand high performance from wipes. Bemliese™ creates wipes that deliver superior absorbency, unmatched purity and far less lint than competing materials.
Bemliese™ dry wipes are supplied unmoistened and can be used as is or a liquid can be added by the user depending on the task. Wipes can be precut and packaged to user-convenient shapes, sizes and quantities.
Superb absorbency. Unmatched purity. Minimal lint.
Among the advantages of Bemliese™ that have particular relevance to dry wipes are high liquid absorption and retention, high purity and low lint and particle generation. Here we highlight these aspects and provide testing results that back up the superior performance of Bemliese™.
Exceptional liquid absorption and retention
Tests for liquid absorption and retention
Cotton linter is the base material for Bemliese™, and Asahi Kasei further improves the natural liquid retention capability of cotton with its own, original technology.
The filament structure of Bemliese™ is designed for superior liquid absorption, able to absorb and retain liquid 13 times* over its own weight.
Unmatched purity
Impurity extraction test, dissolution of impurities such as a surface-active agent (soaked in water)

Impurity extraction test (ethanol extraction)

As a continuous filament nonwoven, Bemliese™ is completely free of additives, oil solution or binding agents. This results in a wipe that generates very little extractable impurities, thus further reducing the amount of impurities transferred to the object to be wiped.
The lowest levels of lint and particle generation
Lint after separation
Fallen fibers comparison

Bemliese™ is made from a continuous filament, which results in a fewer amount of shed fibers and lint/particle generation in comparison with wipes made of cellulose nonwoven sheets from short fibers.
