Asahi Kasei Medical’s Response to the Declaration of a State of Emergency in Japan
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you very much for your continued support at this extraordinarily challenging time. We pray for all those who have sadly passed away from illness caused by the new coronavirus (COVID -19); may their souls rest in peace. We also sincerely hope that all people who are still affected with the illness will recover soon.
This is to inform you of our response to "a state of emergency" declared by the Japanese government on April 7. In accordance with the declaration of "a state of emergency" and the instructions from local governments, we will further promote remote work in principle, and staggered working hours and flextime work in cases where going to work is unavoidable. We will endeavor to continue our business while giving sufficient consideration to infection prevention measures.
According to the Asahi Kasei Group philosophy of "Contributing to "life" and "living" for people around the world," we will do our best to fulfill our social responsibility to ensure a stable supply of medical devices and services for all people facing disease. At the same time, we will continue to give top priority to ensuring the safety of our employees and preventing the spread of infection inside and outside the company, and will promptly decide and implement necessary measures based on policies of the national and local governments.
