Characteristics

High absorbency

Synthetic fabrics like polyester are barely absorbent by themselves.
Since BEMCOT™ is made from regenerated cellulose nonwoven fabric (generic name: Cupro) originating from cotton and its
filament structure absorbs water, it is capable of absorbing water as much as 13 times its own weight.

Absorbency comparison

A wiper is soaked in water for 30 seconds, removed and drained off. The difference in weight before and after soaking is measured.
*Absorbency ratio: (weight of wiper after absorption - weight of wiper before absorption)/weight of wiper before absorption.
Test Method : Asahi Kasei Method

Absorbency and liquid-retention property test

BEMCOThas superb absorbency and liquid-retention propertie and exhibits outstanding wiping ability for wiping off liquid, etc.

Colored water is injected in the center of a sample wiper placed on an inclined surface(inclination: 45°; amount of injected water: 10 ml; duration of injection: 15 seconds)
The condition of liquid diffusion (absorbency) and liquid leakage (liquid retention property) are compared.
Test Method : Asahi Kasei Method
