The Geoweb® was developed by Presto Geosystems (U.S.) over 30 years ago, and has been introduced to Japanese Market & any other Asian countries byAsahi Kasei Advance, as an exclusive distributor.
Now, we have been developing the method using Geoweb® in Japanese & Asian Market for solving soil stability problems.
Presto Geosystems is the original developer of the Geocell technology and leads the industry in research and development. The result is meaningful product improvements, innovative features, advanced engineering methodologies and proven field results that provide the most cost-effective and long-term solutions to soil stabilization problems.
Innovations continue today to provide you with sustainable, high-performing and lowest-cost solutions.
With Presto Geosystems, you’ll receive the same high quality products, solutions and support that you did over 30 years ago. Geoweb® sections are manufactured from high-quality polyethylene to achieve consistent and maximum seam strength and overall system performance.
The Geoweb® system significantly improves the performance of soils by confining and stabilizing them in the system’s high strength network of interconnected cells. The three-dimensional system is an economic and effective solution to challenging soil stability problems in load support, slope, channel, and shoreline protection, and vegetated retaining wall/earth retention applications.
A variety of infill materials can be used based upon details of the specific project/problem:
topsoil with various selected vegetation
aggregates from sand and gravel to larger rock or stone
concrete of various strengths and surface finishes
on-site available fill
combinations of the above to meet project conditions
Channel Protection
The Presto Geoweb® system provides a wide variety of economical, flexible protection treatments for open channels and hydraulic structures. The system provides stability and protection of channels exposed to erosive conditions ranging from low-to-high flows, either intermittent or continuous.
Greatly improves the hydraulic performance of conventional protection materials such as aggregate, rip-rap and topsoil/vegetation by confining them within the cellular structure.
With concrete infill, produces a flexible slab for a long-lasting armored channel lining at a lower cost than articulating block systems.
Can be designed for specific site conditions based upon compatibility with local environmental, ecological and aesthetic requirements, maximum anticipated flow conditions, and associated hydraulic stresses.
Surface roughness and hydraulic efficiency of the lining system can be changed to control flow.
Cost-effective structure confines selected infill material to resist anticipated hydraulic flows and associated stresses.
Supports vegetation in low-to-high intermittent flow channels.
Allows the use of on-site aggregates in low-to-moderate flow channels, reducing construction costs.
Provides protection to geomembrane-lined channels and containment systems.
With concrete infill, provides flexible, inexpensive hard-armored protection against severe high-flow conditions, wave action and associated stresses.
A variety of infill materials can be used with the Geoweb® system based upon the requirements of the specific project/problem.

Combinations of the above to meet special conditions.

Slope and Shoreline Protection
The Presto Geoweb® slope and shoreline protection system is an economical solution to challenging slope-surface stability problems while meeting a wide range of performance and aesthetic requirements. The system provides a means of fully-vegetating slope surfaces that otherwise could not support sustainable plant life. Single or multi-layered systems offer a broad range of surface protection treatments. The systems provide long-term stability and effectiveness of vegetated, permeable and armored slope surfaces.
The three-dimensional structure confines selected infill material to resist down-slope movement of embankment materials and anticipated hydraulic flows.
Minimizes the movement and migration of embankment materials by functioning as anchored containers in the upper soil layer.
Inhibits erosion and controls rill and gully formation, particularly in areas of concentrated flow over erosive soils.
Increases vegetation stability on slopes by interlocking with the vegetative root zone, or confining and interlocking aggregate or concrete for permeable or hard-armored solutions.
A variety of infill materials can be used with the Geoweb® system based upon the requirements of the specific project/problem.

Retaining Walls / Earth Retention
The Geoweb® earth retention system provides an economical, structurally-sound, green alternative to conventional retaining wall systems. The Geoweb® system meets all design requirements while providing desired aesthetics through a terraced face where vegetation can flourish, creating a natural living wall. The Geoweb® system adapts to a wide range of design criteria and construction requirements, meeting site challenges even when subgrade soils are compressible. With a high percentage of open area, ability to use on-site fills and efficient transportation of materials, the Geoweb® system is an eco-friendly solution for a wide variety of retaining walls.
The multi-layered Geoweb® system features horizontal terraces with exposed outer fascia cells, creating a natural environment for selected sustainable vegetation. The vegetated system reduces storm water runoff by allowing rain water to fall on the exposed horizontal soil terrace, maximizing water collection.
Standard wall sections are available with green, tan, or black fascia colors to blend with natural environments. The polyethylene is ultraviolet-light-stabilized to resist color fading, and increase system durability and quality performance to meet typical engineering requirements.

Load Support
The Presto Geoweb® load support system is a highly effective, economical solution to unacceptable road, parking , and yard surface problems that result from subgrade material failure or base material instability.
Under concentrated or distributed loads, the three-dimensional cellular structure confines infill material and controls shearing, lateral and vertical movement of the infill material.
As a base stabilization system under pavement, the Geoweb® material significantly improves pavement life cycle costs. When confined, base material requirements can be reduced by 50% or more by substantially reducing the loading on sub-surface soils. As a result, reduced excavation and granular infill needs reduce overall installation cost.
As a surface stabilization system, the Geoweb® structure distributes surface pressures for dynamic and static loading, controlling rutting and reducing long-term maintenance requirements and costs. Using permeable infill with a high porosity, the system offers environment and storm water management benefits.
With topsoil/aggregate infill, Geoweb® material can create a vegetated surface that supports occasional loads.
Produces a stiff base with high flexural strength; acts like a semi-rigid slab by distributing loads laterally.
Minimizes impact of differential and overall settlement even on low-strength subgrades.
Increases effective structural number, reducing fill depth requirement by 50%.
May allow use of poor-quality granular fills in place of more costly imported materials.
With permeable infill, reduces storm water runoff and effectively performs as an on-site storm water retention/detention “basin” storage, reducing need and costs for storm water ponds.
