Asahi Kasei Corp. and Medtronic Japan Co., Ltd. have reached a decision to end their alliance on April 26, 2013, terminating Asahi Kasei’s exclusive rights for domestic Japanese sale of Reveal® DX insertable cardiac monitor. Rights for sale in Japan will revert to Medtronic Japan, the Marketing Authorization Holder of Reveal® DX, on April 27, 2013.
Asahi Kasei will utilize the experience gained through the sale of Reveal® DX to enhance service while further developing business in the field of critical care, with defibrillators and other products of ZOLL Medical Corporation.
