SUNTEC FOAM is expanded using hydrocarbons—naturally occurring substances with a low global warming impact that do not cause ozone layer depletion.

SUNTEC FOAM and MEF do not use heavy metals or other harmful substances.

SUNTEC FOAM and MEF do not use any of the hazardous materials covered by the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, which took effect in July 2006, or the End of Life Vehicles (ELV) directive, which took effect in July 2003, both of which apply to all EU member states-Cd, Pb, Cr, Hg, PBBs, and PBDEs. Nor does it use any of the additional four substances covered by the RoHS directive promulgated in June 2015 (to take effect in July 2019)-DEHPs, BBPs, DBPs, and DIBPs.
