Inflation moulding

Asaclean™ solves die-cleaning, fish-eye, and gel problems in inflation moulding. See examples of how we achieve both high efficiency and high quality.

More efficient inflation moulding

Asaclean™ is a purging compound with high cleaning power, specially designed for plastic moulding machines. It contributes considerably to productivity improvement in inflation moulding, improving efficiency in colour and material changeovers, cleaning dies that do not require teardown, and achieving high workability through its wind-up capability.

With Asaclean™, you can solve problems specific to inflation moulding

Inflation moulding produces food films, plastic bags, and other products. In the inflation moulding process, resins quickly accumulate on the die and are difficult to remove with a simple purge. There is also the inherent problem of fish-eye gel formation in polyethene.

Moreover, cleaning the moulding machine as a countermeasure takes work. The scale of the equipment is often too large to teardown easily, and poor workability due to holes in the resin after purging and the inability to wind up the resin when using a general purging compound is also a problem unique to inflation moulding.

Asaclean™, a purging compound designed for moulding machines, solves these diverse problems. Please take a look at the results of Asaclean™ in inflation moulding.

Achieve fast, effective changeovers with Asaclean™

Asaclean™ is designed to be compatible with various resins using polymer properties and our resin compatibilizer technology. This compatibility enables Asaclean™ to blend with dirt and eliminate it together. In addition, our advanced compounding technology has realized a high cleaning power to eliminate dirt.

We use UF2 Grade to prevent contamination when changing materials during inflation moulding. We could reduce the time required for the Φ65 extruder from 3 hours to 1.5 hours and for the Φ75 extruder from 12 to 24 hours to 3 hours. It was also easy to peel off, so the workload was minimal.

With another purging compound, replacing purging compound with the next materials took 30 kg and 2 hours. By using UF2 Grade, replacing Asaclean™ with the next material requires only 5 kg and 30 minutes to complete the colour changeover. This has resulted in a significant reduction of industrial waste and a shortening of cleaning time.

No need to teardown even if fish-eye occurs

In inflation moulding, you often use thermally crosslinked polyethene, but fish-eye and gel formation are frequent problems. However, with UF2 Grade and UB Grade, you can remove fish eyes and gels by purging without teardown the equipment.
