Industrial Water Solutions

Better Water Supports Your Manufacturing

Industrial water is essential for all manufacturing and processing sites, and its quality greatly affects production efficiency, costs, and product quality. With a track record spanning half a century, Microza® membrane filtration technology continues to evolve, unlocking new possibilities for water while reducing equipment load and maintenance costs.

Microza® Long-Standing Trust and Track Record

For over 40 years, Microza® has been used in facilities of various sizes and regions worldwide, meeting diverse water treatment needs. Its proven durability and reliability, backed by years of technical expertise and experience, provide strong support for customers.

Reducing Coagulant Dosage and Sludge Treatment to Lower Operational Burden

In conventional coagulation-sedimentation plus sand filtration methods, operators needed to adjust the amount of coagulant injected according to raw water quality. The use of coagulants generates sludge, which requires labor and cost for industrial waste disposal. Especially with highly turbid raw water, the process becomes more complex and chemical usage tends to increase. For customers who do not wish to use coagulants in water purification, managing coagulants and sludge disposal has been a significant burden.

With Microza® membrane filtration solutions, it is possible to achieve high water quality without using coagulants depending on raw water conditions, significantly reducing coagulant usage. Membrane filtration using submerged membranes is especially advantageous for highly turbid raw water, enabling stable treatment while minimizing sludge generation. As a result, labor and costs associated with sludge treatment are reduced, lowering overall operational burden and improving water treatment efficiency.

Reduce Replacement Frequency of Downstream Processes Such as RO Membranes and Lower Operating Costs

In pure water production and wastewater recycling using RO membranes, increased frequency of replacement and cleaning tends to raise operating costs. In particular, conventional pretreatment such as coagulation-sedimentation and sand filtration alone may not provide sufficient water quality, placing excessive load on RO membranes. As a result, RO membrane life is shortened, requiring frequent replacement and maintenance.

Introducing Microza® MF/UF membranes as pretreatment can effectively suppress fouling on RO membranes, significantly reducing replacement frequency and cleaning cycles. Proper pretreatment extends RO membrane life, reducing replacement costs and lowering overall operating costs.

Contributes to Space Saving and Equipment Optimization

Many sites face space-saving challenges that are difficult to solve with conventional methods, such as insufficient space for installing or expanding water treatment equipment or the need to downsize existing facilities.

Microza® provides high filtration speed, enabling space-saving designs and efficient treatment capacity. In addition, no large-scale sedimentation or filtration systems are required, and efficient impurity removal is possible through a simplified process, significantly reducing installation footprint.

Supports a Wide Range of Applications Across All Industries

Microza® addresses various water-related challenges. For example, it helps stabilize water quality on production lines to improve yield, desalinates seawater to secure industrial water, and provides BCP solutions by enabling the conversion of industrial water into potable water during emergencies. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, it also meets the need for producing high-quality water without using distillers.

Achieves High Filtration Performance and Extended Service Life

In water purification facilities, when the raw water has a high organic content or contains large amounts of scale-forming components such as iron and manganese, stronger chemical cleaning than usual is required, making membrane chemical resistance and long-term stability important issues.

Microza® PVDF membranes employ a proprietary TIPS method, delivering high filtration stability, filtration speed, and excellent chemical resistance. This ensures performance is maintained even under harsh cleaning conditions, supporting long-term strength and durability.
